The case impacted his variety show appearances.

The controversy surrounding South Korean actor Lee Yi Kyung, who was accused of sending inappropriate messages, has taken a new turn. Just when the public thought the situation was settling, a fresh wave of claims has emerged, adding more complexity to an already convoluted case.

The actor's team has vehemently denied all allegations from the start, labeling them as fabricated and taking a firm legal stance. However, the other side is now speaking up in a detailed interview, promising a story that spans over a year and a half, directly challenging the narrative put forth by the agency.

In a recent development that has sent ripples through the Korean entertainment community, the German woman at the center of the storm, identified only as 'A', has given a comprehensive interview. She decided to share her full account on the YouTube channel 'Entertainment President Lee Jin Ho', providing what she claims is her perspective on the lengthy and troubling communication with the star. This move comes after a series of online posts and retractions that had previously left netizens confused about what truly transpired.

German Woman Claims 1.5-Year Conversation with Lee Yi Kyung

The woman, 'A', made her first public appearance in a detailed YouTube interview, moving beyond the initial blog posts that sparked the scandal. She claims that her interaction with Lee Yi Kyung was not a brief encounter but a sustained communication that lasted for approximately a year and a half.

According to her, it all began in February of last year when she, as a fan, reached out to him after watching one of his dramas. To her surprise, he reportedly replied.

"He asked if I was really German and requested a selfie, so I sent one," she stated, painting a picture of an initial exchange that was seemingly harmless.

She firmly rejects the agency's allegation that she was the first to send explicit photos, simply stating, "That is not true."

A explains that the nature of their conversations, which started on Instagram and later moved to KakaoTalk, began to shift over time. What started as positive chats gradually became more sexual, making her feel uncomfortable and eventually afraid. She referred to the now-viral screenshots she had uploaded, insisting they contain the explicit comments that pushed her to go public.

She specifically cited one sexually explicit remark involving the phrase “doing something with three friends” as a moment that particularly frightened her. A also addressed why she emailed his agency, Sangyoung ENT, back in May. She claimed that some messages were so strange she wondered if his account had been hacked. After the email exchange with the agency, however, she became convinced she was indeed talking to the real Lee Yi Kyung, a realization that left her shocked.

Legal Standoff and Unraveling Narratives

The situation became even more tangled when, after Sangyoung ENT announced legal action, A posted an apology retracting her claims and suggesting the material was manipulated with AI. She has since provided an explanation for this reversal, claiming a Korean acquaintance advised her that saying it was AI would make the situation die down in two weeks and prevent trouble.

But she later reversed her statement again, fearing that if another victim came forward, she would be blamed for dismissing the entire incident as AI-generated. This back-and-forth has made it difficult for the public to discern the truth.

On the legal front, Lee Yi Kyung has officially filed a complaint with the Seoul Gangnam Police Station, accusing A of blackmail and defamation through the spread of false information. When asked about this, A claimed she has not yet received any official legal documents but plans to monitor the situation closely and respond accordingly once they arrive.

She was also adamant that her initial email to the agency was never an attempt at blackmail. "She insisted that her email to the agency was not blackmail and that she never asked for money," reiterating that her sole intention was to confirm the identity of the person she was communicating with.

The impact on Lee Yi Kyung's career has been immediate and significant. The controversy led him to step down from MBC's popular variety show 'Hangout with Yoo' after being a mainstay for three years. Furthermore, a planned appearance as a host on KBS2's 'The Return of Superman' was canceled.

Then on November 21, the actor broke his silence with a passionate Instagram post, expressing his fury over the entire ordeal. He described the "unpredictable appearance and disappearance" of the person claiming to be a German national and vowed to pursue legal action to the fullest extent.

"I was furious every single moment," Lee confessed.

As this legal battle unfolds across continents, A and Lee Yi Kyung are digging in their heels, leaving fans and the public awaiting the next chapter in this increasingly bitter dispute.
