Aespa solos pass KBS test, ready to shine.
Each song tells their own story and sound.
Fans await the era of true artistry

Aespa’s concert SYNK: aeXIS Line has become the talk of the town after a social media post revealed that the members’ solo performances have officially passed KBS’s broadcast review and are ready for release. The news came from a leaked song list circulating on X (formerly Twitter), which included the songwriters’ names and the word “적격” (qualified) in the evaluation column. For the K-pop world, KBS approval means the songs meet national broadcast standards and can soon be aired on Korean television and radio. Unsurprisingly, related hashtags quickly topped trending lists and sparked fan excitement.

SYNK: aeXIS Line marks Aespa’s third world tour. According to the official schedule, SM Entertainment announced the tour on June 10, 2025, kicking it off with three concerts at KSPO Dome in Seoul on August 29, 2025, before moving on to Fukuoka, Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka. Within the main setlist, four solo tracks stood out: “Good Stuff” by Karina, “Ketchup and Lemonade” by Ningning, “Tornado” by Giselle, and “Blue” by Winter. All four were performed live during the concert but have not yet been released on streaming platforms. With KBS approval now secured, fans are eagerly waiting for the official studio versions.

Solo track details and the stories behind them

Behind each solo lies a unique story. “Good Stuff,” Karina’s solo track, was written by Violet Skies, Ruth Anne Cunningham, Jacob Manson, and IMLAY. Karina participated in writing the lyrics and used a “schoolgirl” concept for her stage performance. During the concert, she shared that she plans to talk more about the song through a live broadcast and is preparing several solo versions.

Ningning’s “Ketchup and Lemonade” was produced by Pink Slip and Amelia Moore, alongside Inverness, Aiden Rodriguez, and Mary Wietz. Ningning said the song truly reflects her personal musical taste, adding that she felt satisfied being able to express her individuality through both lyrics and choreography.

Giselle co-wrote “Tornado” with Japanese musician Shintaro Yasuda. During the concert press conference, Giselle revealed that the song was inspired by her love of the sea. A trip to Okinawa gave her the serene yet powerful feeling that led to the creation of the track’s refreshing vibe. The minimalist composition, crafted by only two writers and two composers, earned admiration from fans for its bold simplicity.

Meanwhile, “Blue” is an emotional ballad written by Jimmy Jansson, Kristin Carpenter, and Hilda Stenmalm, with assistance from Joowon. Winter described the song as portraying the realistic emotions of exhaustion yet persistence, hoping it could serve as a source of comfort for listeners. Interestingly, the members also promised to release new solo songs again in September, signaling a highly productive era for Aespa.

Each track received a “qualified” label from KBS, meaning the lyrics, arrangement, and theme met the network’s broadcasting standards. With this green light, the songs are likely to be released as digital singles or included in an upcoming album. According to the leaked list, Karina and Ruth Anne Cunningham also participated as composers, while “Good Stuff” blends pop and R&B influences. “Ketchup and Lemonade” offers a sweet and refreshing tone true to its title, “Tornado” highlights Giselle’s energetic rap style, and “Blue” showcases Winter’s soft yet emotional vocals. Fans’ reactions have been filled with excitement, awe, and anticipation for the official release.

“the fact that the song Tornado was produced only by Giselle together with Shintaro Yasuda is really cool”

“good stuff is coming to dominate the charts”

“giselle and shintaro are such a cool duo, they totally nailed it with ‘Tornado’, that song is seriously fire and so catchy”

“cat wait for GISELLE TORNADO”

“giselle shintaro yasuda joint slay never disappoint”

“Giselle with just 2 writer and 2 composer !! Our geniuseille”

Aespa continues to expand their musical reach. The SYNK: aeXIS Line world tour will head to Fukuoka, Tokyo, and other Asian cities throughout 2025 and 2026. With their solo songs now approved by KBS and official releases on the horizon, the quartet solidifies their intent to deliver more original works. Their willingness to write and produce their own music reflects their growth as artists. For MYs, Aespa’s fandom, this moment marks the realization of what “aeXIS” represents, the discovery of a true artistic core: mature, personal, and ready to compete on a global stage.

Can we just agree that Aespa keeps leveling up every comeback? The solos sound like they’ll each tell their own story :optical_disk::fire:

Exactly. It’d be like each solo showing their own identity, but together it forms the full Aespa sound. That’s how you build a legacy, not just a hit.

I love how Karina always finds a way to mix elegance with energy. ‘Good Stuff’ sounds like pure confidence in music form.

Of course she participated. It’s the standard formula for senior idols to get writing credits now. Let’s see if the public actually connects with the song

SM has been planning this since the tour setlist was finalized. They’re not reading fan comments for business ideas, trust me :face_exhaling::face_with_steam_from_nose:
