Official Trailer for Taxi Driver 3 Released

The wait is over, and the first trailer for "Taxi Driver 3" confirms that the Rainbow Taxi Company is back in business. The iconic and chilling invitation from CEO Jang, played by Kim Eui Sung, opens the preview: “Don’t die. Let’s take revenge together.”

This immediately re-establishes the show's core mission. However, this season, the scope expands far beyond South Korea's borders. We see the protagonist, Kim Do Gi (Lee Jae Hoon), making direct contact with Interpol, signaling a major shift. The central plot will revolve around an international joint operation targeting a massive global network involved in human trafficking and illegal private loans.

The anticipation is building not just for the bigger scale, but for the deeper mysteries it will unravel. The trailer ends with two cryptic lines that have fans theorizing. “The beginning and the end of Taxi Driver” hints that this season could be a pivotal chapter, possibly even the final one for the team, potentially exploring the origins of the Rainbow Taxi service itself.

Furthermore, the mention of “A perpetrator who has never been revealed, until now” promises a formidable new villain, suggesting the series will delve into its own lore like never before. Alongside the promised overseas filming and more dynamic action sequences, Kim Do Gi's famous "undercover transformations" are also set to be upgraded, providing fresh intensity and entertainment in every episode.

First Look at the Returning Characters of Taxi Driver 3

Alongside the thrilling trailer, the production has been steadily releasing a series of first-look stills, giving us a glimpse of the beloved Rainbow Taxi team members and their new dynamics.

First and foremost is Lee Jae Hoon, who effortlessly slips back into the role of the relentless driver Kim Do Gi. The released stills show him in the driver's seat of his signature "5283" deluxe taxi, staring intently ahead. In another, he's fully geared up in his trademark bomber jacket, sunglasses, and leather gloves, stepping out of the car looking ready for battle. The production team praised him, stating he returned to the character so flawlessly that the two-year hiatus felt irrelevant.

Next is Pyo Ye Jin, who returns as the genius hacker Ahn Go Eun. In one still, she’s seen with a sharp new bob haircut, confidently crossing her arms during a team meeting, showcasing her commanding presence. Another dynamic image captures her in a leather jacket, perched on a motorcycle, ready for action. This confirms that she will continue to be Kim Do Gi's essential eyes and ears, while also potentially getting more involved in the field.

The team's leader, Kim Eui Sung as CEO Jang, is also back. The stills capture his dual nature perfectly. In one, he's shown with a gentle smile, washing a taxi at the depot, highlighting the warm, paternal side he shows to his team. Another still shows him in a serious meeting with a client, hinting at the new, dangerous missions he is orchestrating from the shadows.

Finally, the comedic engineer duo, Choi Kyung Goo (Jang Hyuk Jin) and Park Jin Uhn (Bae Yoo Ram), are back to provide the team's much-needed humor. The released photos show them in their maintenance uniforms, boasting playful and boastful expressions that quickly turn into their signature bickering. As the experts in vehicle modification and security, their smooth teamwork and antics will continue to be a core part of the show's charm.

Having cemented its place as a ratings juggernaut with its previous season peaking at an impressive 21%, "Taxi Driver" returns with a clear winning formula which is fast-paced storytelling, socially relevant cases, and the perfect balance of action, humor, and cathartic justice. Don't miss the premiere of "Taxi Driver 3" on November 21.
