Blending unveils the Moon River OST lineup with Solar and top vocalists. Park Se Jun leads seven emotional, genre-blending tracks. Fans praise the music but debate Kim Si Hwan’s inclusion.
Moon River has quickly become one of the most anticipated projects of the year’s end, not only for reuniting Kang Tae Oh and Kim Se Jeong in a fantasy tale about body swapping during the Joseon era, but also for its promise of emotionally captivating music. Set to premiere on October 31, 2025, via MBC, the series explores empathy and inner transformation through two characters who exchange lives. Music plays a vital role in expressing their journey, and Blending, the powerhouse OST label behind Vincenzo and Hotel Del Luna, has officially unveiled the full lineup of singers for the drama’s soundtrack. Featuring seven multi-genre tracks produced by acclaimed music director Park Se Jun, the album is expected to serve as an emotional bridge that deepens the drama’s magical narrative while introducing a fresh musical palette to illustrate its spiritual and romantic journey.

Voices, Emotions, and Controversy Behind the “Moon River” Soundtrack
Released on October 23, 2025, the soundtrack showcases a stellar lineup of diverse voices. Solar of Mamamoo opens with “Someone Tell Me,” a powerful pop-ballad highlighting her rich vocals. Song Sohee delivers “Kkumiroda” (It Is a Dream) with a fusion of traditional folk and modern arrangement, while Yunmin from the band Touched performs “If Only Good Memories Remain,” bringing a soft rock flavor. Lee Ye Joon follows with the moving ballad “Prayer,” Sondia presents “Stay With Me,” and singer-songwriter Kim Feelsun adds “A River Bathed in Moonlight.” The final track, “Rhapsody,” is a collaboration between Kim Si Hwan, formerly of Boys Planet and once embroiled in controversy, along with Moon Sung Jun, Park Jae Hoon, and Taira.
All songs were composed and directed by Park Se Jun, aiming to capture the emotional rhythm of Moon River, from tender romance to spiritual awakening and inner conflict. According to Blending, the diverse mix of pop, folk, rock, ballad, and orchestral sounds represents the layered emotions of two souls living each other’s lives. A highlight medley for all tracks was released on YouTube and Blending’s social media on October 23, pushing the hashtags #MoonRiver and The Moon Flows Over the River of Lee Gang to trend on X (formerly Twitter).
Still, the release sparked both excitement and debate. While many fans praised the touching melodies and cinematic feel, some expressed disappointment over Kim Se Jeong’s absence from the singer lineup, and others criticized the inclusion of Kim Si Hwan due to his past controversy. The conversations surrounding the album reflected just how much public anticipation surrounds this drama and its emotional world.
Here are some of the comments from netizens reacting online:
“I loved them all, but I wanted an OST from Sejeong too 😭.”
“What’s the big deal, seriously?”
“A trainee involved in a teacher harassment scandal singing for such a good drama? That’s unacceptable…”
“Waiting for Se Jeong’s, and a duet with Tae Oh. 🙏”
“Moon River OST… why do the songs touch my heart so much? I hope Dal-i’s story ends happily, I really want to see Sejeong sing the OST of this drama too.”
With its top-tier production, emotional direction, and rich variety of musical styles, the Moon River OST stands as more than just a soundtrack; it is a vital extension of the story itself. Despite a touch of controversy, the combined voices of Solar, Song Sohee, Yunmin, Lee Ye Joon, Sondia, and Kim Feelsun are expected to heighten the warmth and emotional depth of the drama as it approaches its highly anticipated premiere at the end of October.

The title A River Bathed in Moonlight sounds so beautiful and poetic. I can already imagine the elegant, magical scenes it will accompany. My heart is fluttering with anticipation!

Park Se Jun as music director? No mames! The man is a genius. His work on Vincenzo was impeccable. Can’t wait to break down these multi-genre tracks. The production is gonna be fire!
The controversy aside, the variety of voices here is just insane. Every song has its own soul, and I love that.
OMG Blending is doing the OST?! They never miss! Hotel Del Luna’s songs are my life
So excited to hear Solar unnie’s track! #MoonRiver is going to be legendary!
Omo, yes unnie! You put it perfectly!
It sounds like a song that would play during a really emotional, beautiful scene under the moonlight. I’m getting goosebumps just thinking about it! Let’s stream it together when it drops!
The way they describe the OST as an emotional bridge is so true. A good soundtrack makes you feel the character’s journey deeper. I have high hopes for this one.
Anyone else thinks Se Jeong should’ve sung one of the OST tracks too? Her voice would’ve been perfect for the main theme😭
I didn’t expect Solar’s voice to fit this kind of historical drama, but wow… it actually gives me chills. Such a perfect opening track!
The drama isn’t even out yet, but this OST already has me feeling emotional like I’ve lived three lifetimes in Joseon
Maybe she’ll surprise us with a hidden track later
