The engine is revving, and the destination is another thrilling, record-breaking journey.
The hype train is officially leaving the station, and we’ve just been given our first ticket inside. The production has spilled the first behind-the-scenes photos from the highly-anticipated script reading table read, and it’s everything fans could have hoped for. So, what was the vibe like? Let's take a peek.

Taxi Driver 3 Released Photo of Dynamic Table Read
The core family of the Rainbow Taxi Company has officially reunited! SBS recently released footage from the first script reading for ‘Taxi Driver 3’, which took place ahead of its premiere on November 21st.
The original crew including Lee Je Hoon (Kim Do-gi), Kim Eui Sung (CEO Jang), Pyo Ye Jin (Go Eun), Jang Hyuk- Jin (Chief Choi), and Bae Yoo Ram (Chief Park) gathered together for the first time in two years, signaling the powerful start of production for the new season. The reading was attended by key creative forces, including writer Oh Sang Ho, the mastermind behind the series' solid world-building, and director Kang Bo Seung, who was an assistant director on Season 1 and co-directed ‘Dr. Romantic 3’.
But this wasn't just any ordinary table read. The session was conducted in a special format where the actors read their lines while viewing storyboards personally drawn by Director Kang Bo-seung. This unique approach provided an intense sense of immersion, allowing the cast to vividly bring to life the series' signature delivery of justice, catharsis, and its explosive action sequences from the very start. It was reported that the team's perfected chemistry was on full display with just a single line or a glance, the "Rainbow Five" announced their powerful return.
The reading also hinted at the spectacular new villains who will stand against the team, promising a historic season that will trigger a surge of dopamine for viewers.
"I'm so grateful and happy that we can do Season 3. I am proud of our members, who feel like family," Lee Je Hoon shared his excitement.
"I think we'll be able to show a story that is even more intense than the previous seasons. I'm also diligently preparing for my more diverse sub-characters. I really want to show them to the viewers quickly. Please look forward to the activities of Kim Do Gi and the Rainbow Taxi team," he continued.

A Proven Track Record of Record-Breaking Success
The return of ‘Taxi Driver’ was anything but a surprise, it was a demand backed by staggering success. Earlier this year, on February 6th, SBS officially confirmed the third season,
"Thanks to the immense support of viewers, 'Taxi Driver' has confirmed its return with season 3 in the second half of this year."
This announcement came with the confirmation that the entire main cast would be returning to reprise their iconic roles, ensuring the continuity and chemistry that fans have come to adore.
The series' reputation as a "mega-hit IP" is firmly grounded in numbers. The first season achieved an impressive peak rating of 16.0%, but Season 2 spectacularly surpassed that, closing with a monumental 21.0% viewer rating, making it the highest-rated mini-series of its year. This performance places the ‘Taxi Driver’ series as having the 5th highest overall viewership rating among all domestic terrestrial and cable dramas aired since 2023. Its cultural impact was further cemented when it beat out global sensations like Netflix's ‘The Glory’ in a Gallup Korea survey to be named "South Korea's favorite TV series."
Furthermore, the series' prestige was acknowledged on an international stage when it won the Best Drama Series award at the 28th Asian Television Awards, solidifying its status as a top-tier Korean seasonal drama.
With a legacy this strong, the pressure is on for Season 3 to outdo itself, and fans won't have to wait much longer to see if it succeeds. Mark your calendars because ‘Taxi Driver 3’ is set to premiere on November 21st.
