New evidence challenges late Kim Sae Ron's family claims. Kim Soo Hyun's schedule makes contact impossible. The unresolved case continues its complex development.
In a significant escalation of the ongoing and deeply contentious legal battle, Kim Soo Hyun's legal team has launched a forceful counterattack against the allegations made by the late Kim Sae Ron's family.
The core of their defense hinges on presenting what they claim is concrete evidence that not only disproves the family's claims but also suggests a deliberate manipulation of facts. They are challenging the very foundation of the accusations which is the intimate KakaoTalk messages presented as proof of a relationship with a minor.

The Allegations of Intimate KakaoTalk Messages
The controversy ignited when the bereaved family of Kim Sae Ron, through their legal representative Attorney Bu Ji-seok and Garosero Research Institute head Kim Se-ui, held a press conference to disclose private messages. They claimed these were exchanges between a 17-year-old Kim Sae Ron and Kim Soo Hyun from June 2016.
The messages, which were described as reconstructions of the originals with personal information redacted, painted a picture of an affectionate and impatient man. Specific messages revealed included the man saying, "You're tired, I'll go (to where you are)" after she canceled a meeting on June 22.
On June 24, he inquired, "What time are you finishing?" and stated, "I need to sleep as late as possible (until you finish). What's wrong with being tired? I'm just waiting to contact you."
The most explicit messages came from June 28, where the man allegedly wrote, "Kiss me later. Is that forbidden too?" and "When can I hold you and fall asleep? Then I think I'll be able to sleep really well."
The family insisted the profile name for these messages was 'Kim Soo Hyun' and used them to bolster their claim of a six-year relationship that began when Kim Sae Ron was a middle school student.

Kim Soo Hyun's Legal Team Counters with New Evidence
Now, Kim Soo Hyun is fighting back with a detailed alibi. His legal representative, Attorney Ko Sangrok, has come forward with what is purported to be Kim Soo Hyun's official filming schedule for the movie "Real" from June 2016.
This document, which his team states was submitted to investigative authorities, shows the actor was in the midst of an intensely demanding shoot. He filmed on 18 days that month, including the specific dates the messages were exchanged which is June 22, 25, 26, and 28.
The schedule indicates that as the lead actor, he was required on the Yeongjong Island set in Incheon as early as 8 AM, with wrap times ranging from 8 PM to as late as 10 PM. Given that his residence in Seoul was a two-hour drive from the set, his team argues his entire day was consumed by commuting and filming, leaving no realistic opportunity for the meetings described in the chats. Attorney Ko pointedly refuted the narrative.
"It is physically impossible to make an appointment to meet up outside at another location on the same day," he stated.
He further dismantled the idea of Kim Soo Hyun being the sender by highlighting the conversation's premise that the man had a flexible schedule, waiting up all night to chat. In stark contrast, Kim Soo Hyun needed to be up at dawn for action scenes.
"This appears to be the result of intentionally omitting 'the part that reveals the man's schedule'," Attorney Ko argued.
The actor's representative suggesting the family and Garosero Research Institute were fully aware the sender was not Kim Soo Hyun. He has called for a seizure and analysis of all group chat messages between the opposing parties to prove they knowingly promoted false information.
This case, fraught with tragedy and conflicting evidence, is far from over. With Kim Soo Hyun's side now presenting what they call "physically impossible" scheduling conflicts and alleging deliberate fabrication, and the late Kim Sae Ron's family standing by their claims, the truth appears destined to be determined in a courtroom. Both sides have filed lawsuits, and the public dispute continues to unfold, leaving a complex and painful situation with no clear resolution in sight.

This situation is so complicated. It’s sad all around. Meanwhile, Bambam just dropped a new song, let’s support our Thai kings instead!
A grown man dating a minor? That’s a serious claim. His lawyers seem mighty confident with those schedules. Hope the truth comes out, for everyone’s sake.
I’m sorry, but this is about a very serious legal and human situation. It feels a bit disrespectful to suddenly change the topic to a new song when we’re talking about someone’s life and career.
It really is a serious claim. The evidence they presented does seem compelling. It makes the whole situation even more heartbreaking, like a plot twist in a drama where no one truly wins.
I knew there was more to this story. Those schedules don’t lie. It’s starting to look like a very messy setup. Dispatch, where are you?
Is this really the time to promote a song? A woman has died and a man is being accused of a crime. Have some respect. This isn’t a fanwar!!!
Finally, someone talking sense. The lawyers wouldn’t bring this evidence if they weren’t sure. This whole thing is starting to smell very, very fishy. I knew there was another side to this.
Okay, now I’m wondering, if he turns out to be innocent, will his career still be affected? I’m so confused by this whole case.
It depends on how transparent and consistent he stays through all this.
This case keeps getting darker with every new update. I just hope the truth comes out and not someone’s twisted version of it.
Sadly, yes. Accusations like this leave scars even after being disproven. Remember about Kim Hyun Joong
The filming schedule evidence seems quite strong. It’s hard to believe he had time for anything else with those hours.
