Jeon Yeobeen’s new drama Ms. Incognito debuts with impact.
A gripping mix of crime, revenge, and mystery unfolds.
Perfect 10/10 IMDb rating for its premiere episode.

ENA and Genie TV’s newest series, Ms. Incognito (Korean title Chakhan Yeoja Busemi), has immediately grabbed viewers’ attention since its premiere on September 29, 2025. This crime, drama, and romance series stars Jeon Yeobeen, Jung Jinyoung, and Seo Hyunwoo, directed by Park Yooyoung and written by Hyun Gyuri. Exploring a dark mystery within a powerful conglomerate family and the painful past of its lead character, Ms. Incognito managed to keep audiences glued to the screen from its very first minute.

A Strong Opening With the Dark Secrets of Gaseong Group

The first episode introduces Kim Youngran (Jeon Yeobeen), a former convict struggling to rebuild her life. She was once imprisoned as a teenager for stealing sanitary pads. Her attempt to get a job as the personal bodyguard of Gaseong Group’s chairman, Ga Sungho (Moon Sunggeun), initially ends in failure after a disastrous interview and the revelation of her criminal record. To make things worse, her own mother, Kim Soyoung (So Heejung), takes away her deposit money, leaving Youngran completely devastated.

Unexpectedly, her fate changes when Ga Sungho, who had secretly watched the interview via CCTV, becomes intrigued by Youngran’s desperate yet resilient spirit. He calls her back and gives her a chance to work as his personal bodyguard. However, life inside the powerful family’s mansion is far from simple. Youngran discovers numerous hidden cameras and overhears whispers about the tragic death of Ga Sungho’s daughter.

The tension rises when Ga Sungho summons Youngran to his office and reveals that his daughter was murdered, with his stepdaughter Ga Sunyoung (Jang Yoonju) as the prime suspect. Instead of hiring a hitman for revenge, Ga Sungho shocks everyone by proposing marriage to Youngran. This unexpected move sparks speculation among viewers about his real plan and sets the tone for a revenge-driven yet mysterious story.

The drama recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 2.4% and 2.3% in the Seoul metropolitan area (Nielsen Korea). These numbers made it the highest debut among Genie TV’s original dramas this year, giving ENA a promising start. Interestingly, social media was abuzz with debates over the ratings. Some X users celebrated a real-time rating claim of 10% during the live broadcast, while Nielsen’s official data showed about 2%. This discrepancy triggered heated discussions and highlighted the drama’s strong buzz.

On top of that, the drama received positive feedback on global review platforms. IMDb currently scores Ms. Incognito at 8.8/10 overall, while AsianWiki shows an impressive user rating of 99/100 from early votes. Even more remarkable, Episode 1 itself holds a perfect 10/10 rating on IMDb, proving that its premiere captivated audiences in an extraordinary way.

Emotional Audience Reactions, Fan Theories, and Anticipation for What’s Next

The premiere episode instantly sparked a wave of reactions across social media. Many praised Jeon Yeobeen’s deeply emotional performance and Park Yooyoung’s striking cinematography. Several touching scenes, such as Youngran saving Dongmin (Jinyoung) from being hit by a truck door during their first encounter, captured viewers’ hearts and teased a budding chemistry between the two leads.

“THE FIRST EPISODE OF #MsIncognito WAS SOO DAMN GOOOOD. Gimme more rn!!!”

“Kim Yeong Ran’s empty eyes are breaking me… my poor girl, I’m already in tears. The first episode was sooo insane, and I just want her to finally find happiness,  it feels like her whole life has been nothing but pain.”

“This scene made me so angry when I watched it.. I could feel so strongly for Youngran…. seriously what a mom, explained why YR seemed to live without anything to look fwd to.. YB acted so well!”

“There is no way Jinyoung’s character is just a jolly strawberry farmer. He has to be former special forces or some hidden weapon of mass destruction. The casting and premise totally hint at that.”

Some viewers are already suspicious of characters who seem harmless. A Reddit user speculated that Jinyoung’s character isn’t just a cheerful strawberry farmer but may have a dark and powerful past. This sparked multiple fan theories about Dongmin’s true identity and his possible connection to the Gaseong family’s secrets.

The chemistry between the main leads is also a major topic of discussion. The scene where Dongmin quietly gazes at Youngran after she saves him was described as warm and full of curiosity.

“and YoungRan’s first encounter with DongMin was her saving him and preventing the truck door from hitting him. He looked at her from afar with a look of apaixonate.”

Many viewers also expressed deep sympathy for Youngran, hoping she can finally escape the endless pain in her life. They felt connected to her despair and criticized her mother for taking away her only savings.

“Sometimes I wish these Kdrama kids hit back.”

“That woman is such a scoundrel.”

“Wow, I felt so angry in this scene.”

Overall, the audience reaction has been emotional, filled with theories, and overwhelmingly excited for what’s next. The second episode of Ms. Incognito is scheduled to air on ENA on September 30 at 10 PM KST, followed by free VOD streaming on KT Genie TV and availability on Tving.

Jeon Yeobeen’s ability to convey such profound despair with just her eyes is a masterclass in acting. It’s this deep, emotional storytelling that makes K-dramas so powerful and captivating.

But I think I’ll wait for all episodes to air so I can marathon and fully analyze the character’s emotional journey. It’s the best way to appreciate the storytelling arc! :movie_camera:

A crime drama with a strawberry :strawberry: farmer character? I’m already making theories! 555 Jinyoung’s role has to be more than just a farmer. This is so intriguing!:laughing:
