The highly anticipated film "No Other Choice" has finally made its grand debut in South Korea. The buzz around this project, which marks a significant comeback for actress Son Ye-jin and is helmed by the acclaimed director Park Chan-wook of "Oldboy" and "The Handmaiden" fame, reached a fever pitch with its VIP premiere event. This premiere wasn't just a routine promotional stop, it transformed into a major gathering of the Korean entertainment industry's elite, turning the red carpet into a spectacle of star power that had fans and media alike buzzing with excitement. The attendance of so many A-listers underscored the high regard for the director and the stellar cast, setting high expectations for the film's public release.
The star-studded guest list was a who's who of the Korean entertainment world. Notable faces included Rain, Ahn So-hee, and Park Jin-young (JYP) who arrived together, creating a mini-reunion of JYP Entertainment alumni. Actors like Jung Sung-il, Yoo Yeon-seok, and the beloved BTS members RM and V also graced the event, sending fans into a frenzy with their friendly heart signs.

VIP Premiere of "No Other Choice", Hyunbin Steals the Show
The VIP premiere for "No Other Choice" was held on Monday, September 22, 2025, at the CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Seoul. The event was packed with celebrities, but Hyun Bin's attendance was the defining moment. His unwavering support for Son Ye-jin and his gracious interaction with the media and fans became the most talked-about aspect of the premiere, overshadowing even the other major stars in attendance. It was a rare and heartwarming public display of support from one of Korea's most famous couples, making it a truly memorable night.
The actor made a special effort to walk the red carpet solely to support his wife, Son Ye-jin, the film's leading lady. His presence caused a stir, as public appearances by the couple together have been relatively rare since their marriage. Hyun Bin, dressed in a comfortable yet dandy gray corduroy set, was the picture of a supportive husband. When fans shouted requests for a heart pose for "Son Ye-jin", he didn't hesitate for a second, immediately drawing a heart with his hands and flashing his signature warm smile, proudly displaying his "Son Ye-jin's husband" persona.

Press Conference Insights: Trust, Chemistry, and Golf Outings
Prior to the premiere, a press conference was held for the film, offering deeper insights into the project. Son Ye-jin, who plays Mi-ri, the wife of Lee Byung-hun's character Man-soo, spoke with great respect about working with Director Park Chan-wook for the first time.
"While filming, I thought his detailed direction, his perspective on the film as a whole, and his perspective on the actors were sharp and broad. After watching the movie, I realized, 'Wow, he's an amazing person'," Son Ye-jin confessed.
She expressed absolute trust in his vision, joking, "Even while filming, the director's presence was so strong that I could say, 'Okay, I understand,' even if he told me to act like a bean but think of it as a soybean."
Meanwhile, Lee Byung-hun stole the spotlight by revealing his off-screen closeness with both Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin. He shared that the two couples are so close they often go golfing together. Son Ye-jin elaborated on this, joking about Hyun Bin's competitive spirit on the golf course.
"We used to play golf together (as a couple's club), and when we played golf, Hyun Bin would hit with so much force that I worried he might be sore when he got home. We even joked that since he puts so much force into golf, he must have lost strength when he was acting," recalled Son Ye-jin.
This familiarity translated seamlessly on screen. Lee Byung-hun praised Son Ye-jin's acting prowess, noting that despite their existing friendship, he was consistently surprised by her skill.
"All the moments acting with Son Ye-jin fit so well. Of course, it's true that we are close friends, so there was no sense of distance, but while acting together, I thought even more, 'It's Son Ye-jin after all.' There were many times when I was surprised," he admitted.
"No Other Choice" tells the story of an office worker, Man-soo, who feels he has accomplished everything, only to be suddenly fired. He then prepares for a battle of re-employment to protect his wife, Mi-ri, their two children, and their hard-earned home. The film is set to be released on September 24, 2025.

Watching Hyun Bin support Son Ye-jin feels like a real-life K-drama scene!
Their love story is as captivating as any plot!
But ofc I can’t wait to see Son Ye-jin performance in No Other Choice, it’s sure to be emotionally powerful and well-acted!
Hyun Bin’s heart pose for Son Ye-jin was so wholesome!
It’s amazing how Korean stars show such unwavering support. This makes me even prouder to be a fan of Korean entertainment, just like I root for Thai idols making it big. Btw, adopt me next plzzzz Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin!
I promise I’m a good golf caddy!
But I’m really wondering how the soundtrack will develop the emotion. A subtle piano melody during her scenes would be genius, or maybe a tense, minimalist beat for the re-employment battle? The music choices will be everything
OMG, seeing Hyun Bin support Son Ye-jin at the premiere gives me major couple goals!
It reminds me of how BTS members always have each other’s backs. This is why I love Korean celebrities, their bonds feel so genuine!!
Hahaha let’s get in line!
If they start a fandom family, I’ll bring the snacks and lightstick! #AdoptionGoals
Hyun Bin in that gray corduroy set was the definition of effortless charm. He didn’t even try, but still looked like the most dashing man in the room
Exactly!
It honestly feels like we’re watching an epilogue of Crash Landing on You play out in real life. Their chemistry off-screen is just as magical as on-screen, and that makes fans root for them even more.
No Other Choice” seems like a touching family story with intense emotions. Who else is planning to watch it on release day?
I’ll wait for reviews first, but the cast alone has me curious tho
Man, Hyun Bin walking the red carpet just for Son Ye-jin is next level cool
That’s real husband goals right there!
