NMIXX’s latest comeback with their first full album titled “Blue Valentine” immediately became a hot topic on social media. Known for their unique and experimental concepts, the group once again surprised fans—not only through their music but also through something as simple as the album title. While fans were used to seeing unusual names like Entwurf, Expérgo, or the Fe304 series, this time NMIXX returned with a title that sounds far more familiar.

This unexpected change quickly sparked lengthy discussions on X (Twitter). Many fans admitted they weren’t used to NMIXX releasing an album with such a “normal” title. Member Sullyoon even mentioned it in her bubble chat, sounding just as surprised as the fans when Blue Valentine was suddenly announced.

“Congratulations to Blue Valentine for being the first ever normal(?) NMIXX album name,” wrote a fanbase account, while also listing all the group’s previous album names.

A New Title, AI Controversy, and Promotion Strategy

Fans’ reactions were a mix of amusement, confusion, and nostalgia toward the group’s long-standing identity of experimental album names.

“Wait, Expérgo is such a beautiful name for an album.”

“Wtf is an Entwurf.”

“Even Sullyoon can’t pronounce easily 😭.”

“If the tt is also named Blue Valentine we lost…”

For some, it’s precisely this strangeness that sets NMIXX apart from other K-pop groups. Still, others welcomed the simpler title, saying it doesn’t matter as long as the music remains strong.

Beyond the name, the comeback also drew attention with the release of a motion poster. The futuristic, CGI-like visuals earned praise, but also sparked speculation about whether AI had been used. The debate ended after the actual designer clarified that the project was created entirely with 3D tools, not AI.

“Was it not that obvious? NMIXX BEEN using CGI before everyone started calling EVERYTHING AI.”

“We gotta stop calling everything AI bro 😭.”

On top of that, NMIXX introduced a fresh promotional step by announcing a three-episode Webtoon series to expand the lore of Blue Valentine. The first episode will be released on September 25, followed by episodes on October 1 and October 14. Fans see this as an exciting move, and some even believe it shows that JYP Entertainment has finally listened to long-standing complaints that NMIXX has not been properly promoted.

“Damn they listened to the people saying they don’t have a marketing department.”

With a simpler album title, striking visuals, and extended storytelling through a Webtoon, this comeback has the potential to be a major turning point for NMIXX. Now, all eyes are on whether the music in Blue Valentine can live up to the sky-high expectations already building among fans.

The visuals in the motion poster are so dreamy and elegant! Like a beautiful, melancholy fairy tale. I’m already in love.:sparkles::swan:

Expanding the storyline through a webtoon is a brilliant move. It reminds me of a drama series. I’m very interested in the storytelling.

Why does every NMIXX album name feel like a college thesis until now? :joy: Finally something my friends can pronounce.

Yeah, it’s about time JYP gave them something beyond just music videos.

People calling everything AI these days is so tiring  That poster is pure CGI talent, respect the designers.

The motion poster looks insane… JYP should invest in this style more often instead of cutting corners.
