Inside Jennie's Multimillion-Dollar ODD ATELIER Headquarters in Seoul's Elite Hannam-dong

Jennie's agency ODD ATELIER is relocating to a high-end building in Hannam-dong. The new office space commands a monthly rent of up to 80 million KRW. This move reinforces her commitment to building an independent solo career.
BLACKPINK’s Jennie is making a major power move, literally and figuratively, by relocating her personal label, ODD ATELIER, to a prestigious new address. Come early November, the agency will be settling into a newly constructed boutique building in the ultra-high-end neighborhood of Hannam-dong in Seoul.
That isn't just any office space, it's a architecturally significant structure spanning 927 square meters across five floors (one basement and four above ground), designed by the renowned Hong Tae-seon, the only American-licensed architect in Korea who was named an Honorary Fellow of the American Institute of Architects. The move comes as the lease for her current office, a repurposed residential property in Itaewon-dong, is set to expire. That previous location had unfortunately been mired in controversy due to unauthorized usage changes from a gallery to an office, which led to a building code violation notice from the Yongsan District Office, making this upgrade both a strategic and necessary step for her burgeoning enterprise.

The new HQ is as impressive as it sounds. Completed just last April, the building was designed with a southwest-facing entrance and boasts a high-end, gallery-like exterior that perfectly fits OA's creative ethos. Its rooftop even offers stunning panoramic views of the Han River, making it a truly premium workspace.
The property had previously been listed for lease with a hefty deposit requirement of 1.5 to 2.5 billion KRW and a monthly rent ranging from 60 to 80 million KRW (approximately $45,000 to $60,000 USD). The entire building is estimated to be worth a staggering 45 billion KRW, or about 33 million USD. This has, understandably, sparked a wave of reactions online, with netizens marveling at the scale of the operation for a one-artist label.

“Wow, insane… the only artist is Jennie, yet they’re leasing such a huge building?? A superstar is truly a superstar," one impressed comment, quoted from allkpop.
“Since OA (Odd Atelier) is moving to such a big new office, I hope they also do a better job with announcements and lawsuits," another noted.
The Foundation of ODD ATELIER: Freedom and a New Creative Path from Jennie
This lavish new office is the physical embodiment of the ambitious solo journey Jennie embarked on when she first established ODD ATELIER (OA) back in December 2023. This decision came shortly after it was confirmed that BLACKPINK had collectively renewed their group contract with YG Entertainment, while the members' individual contracts for solo endeavors were negotiated separately.

Jennie chose a different path for her solo career, deciding not to renew her individual contract with YG and instead build her own company from the ground up. It's crucial to note that she remains fully dedicated to BLACKPINK activities, which are still managed under YG Entertainment, a setup similar to the other members.
So, why start her own agency? Jennie herself appeared on KBS 2TV's ‘The Seasons’ and explained her reasoning clearly.
“I will continue to do group activities (with YG Entertainment) but I wanted to do solo activities more freely so I carefully established (my own agency). There is a crew of people that were with me for a long time (at my label). I wanted to freely do any activities and promotions.," she stated.
The name itself, ODD ATELIER, holds deep meaning for her. As described on its Instagram, OA is a space that aims to create new things that attract attention in a different way from what is usual or expected.
Jennie elaborated on the show, revealing, “It contains the intention to do well even if my path is strange and different from others.”

This move secures her creative freedom and control over her profits, with fans rightly speculating, that:
"Jennie’s new album was a worldwide hit, and since she doesn’t split profits with a company but keeps them under her own label, she must be making a fortune," fan commented.
With a new world-class office and full creative control, the future looks incredibly bright for Jennie and ODD ATELIER.

Such a huge building for one artist! Jennie’s power is truly global. This is so inspiring for everyone who wants to be their own boss
BUT I wonder if they’ll have any internship opportunities for international fans in the future? Asking for a friend…

That’s such a lovely dream, Sunti! I really hope they do. An international office with a view of the Han River would be an incredible place to work. Fighting with your studies!
Aish, such a big investment. I hope this doesn’t mean less group activities. YG must be feeling the pressure right now.
Thank you, Haruka!
I’ll study hard and maybe one day we’ll both be at a fan meeting there, but as guests this time!
The rooftop view of Han River sounds magical. Imagine brainstorming music concepts up there
Jennie running her own label AND moving into such a stunning building? That’s real boss energy
Jennie really proved she’s not just an idol, but a visionary businesswoman too. Huge respect
I love that she chose freedom over comfort with YG
Haha that’s such a fun thought
Honestly, with how global Jennie is, I wouldn’t be shocked if OA opens doors for international talent someday. If that happens, better get your resume and passport ready bro
I just think it’s wonderful she’s creating a space for her own dreams! You go, Jennie!
