SEVENTEEN will begin their 'NEW_' world tour in September 2025 While Hoshi and Woozi enlist in September, following Jeonghan and Wonwoo who are already serving Eventhough the full schedule and additional locations for the tour have yet to be fully announced
SEVENTEEN is gearing up to greet CARATs (their fandom) through a series of world tour concerts. Pledis Entertainment, the agency managing SEVENTEEN, announced that the group’s world tour will kick off in Incheon in September 2025.
This will mark SEVENTEEN’s 5th world tour. However, it appears that the group will not be embarking on this tour with a full lineup of members.
SEVENTEEN Ready to Embark on World Tour

SEVENTEEN has officially announced their upcoming world tour, titled 'NEW_'. The tour will begin with a two-day concert at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium in Seo-gu, Incheon, on September 13 and 14, 2025. These shows will serve as the opening leg of the 'NEW_' world tour, following the massive success of their fifth studio album, ‘HAPPY BURSTDAY’, released in May 2025.
The album HAPPY BURSTDAY not only dominated Circle Chart's mid-year rankings, reaffirming the group's status as a top-tier K-pop act, but also made waves internationally by debuting at number 2 on the prestigious Billboard 200 chart in the U.S.
The 'NEW_' world tour is projected to be a celebration of SEVENTEEN’s long-running career, as they enter their second decade since debuting in 2015.
Though the full schedule and additional locations for the 'NEW_' tour have yet to be fully announced, dates and venues will be revealed gradually. The overwhelming excitement from CARATs worldwide has already been evident through album sales and positive responses to previous concerts, making this tour one of the most highly anticipated musical events in the second half of 2025 and early 2026.
More than just a concert series, the 'NEW_' tour seems designed as a symbol of transformation and rebirth for SEVENTEEN’s identity. The theme of "newness" is reflected not only in the tour’s title but also in the group’s evolving journey—both as a collective and as individuals. With some members beginning their mandatory military service while others continue to keep the creative flame alive, SEVENTEEN is proving that change is not an ending, but the start of a bigger chapter in their story.
World Tour with an Incomplete Lineup

However, SEVENTEEN’s 'NEW_' tour will see a slight shift in group dynamics. Hoshi and Woozi have been confirmed not to participate in the opening concerts or any subsequent tour dates, as they prepare to enlist in the military. Woozi is scheduled to begin his service as an active-duty soldier in the Army on September 15, followed by Hoshi on September 16.
Pledis Entertainment issued an official statement on July 8, 2025, regarding Hoshi and Woozi’s enlistment plans:
“Hoshi and Woozi will begin fulfilling their mandatory military service in September. Woozi is scheduled to enlist as an active-duty soldier in the Army on September 15, and Hoshi will follow on September 16.”
Prior to their enlistment, the duo hold their "HOSHI X WOOZI FAN CONCERT [WARNING]" and a fan sign event for their latest album. Once they begin their military service, they will pause group activities, though the agency has prepared pre-recorded content to keep fans engaged.
Out of respect for the private nature of enlistment ceremonies, Pledis requested that CARATs refrain from visiting the training centers and instead send their support via Weverse.
“Since the training center entrance ceremonies are occasions attended by many soldiers and their families, we kindly ask fans to refrain from visiting the site. Please send your farewell messages and words of support for Hoshi and Woozi through Weverse instead," said Pledis.
Hoshi and Woozi will follow in the footsteps of fellow members Jeonghan and Wonwoo, becoming the third and fourth members of SEVENTEEN to undertake mandatory military service.
SEVENTEEN Tour Kickoff Before Woozi and Hoshi Enlistment

With the 'NEW_' tour kicking off right before Woozi and Hoshi's enlistment, CARATs will witness SEVENTEEN performing as a 9-member lineup - marking a bittersweet moment as the group temporarily continues without four members (Jeonghan, Wonwoo, Woozi and Hoshi). These concerts will carry special significance, serving as both a celebration of their current chapter and an emotional transition period before the military hiatus
As the tour progresses, SEVENTEEN’s performances will likely adapt to the absence of Hoshi, Woozi, Jeonghan, and Wonwoo, showcasing the group’s ability to reinvent themselves even during transitional periods.
With pre-planned content, special performances, and possible virtual interactions, SEVENTEEN and Pledis are ensuring that CARATs remain connected to the group throughout this phase.
The 'NEW_' world tour marks another milestone in SEVENTEEN’s illustrious career, blending celebration with evolution. Though the absence of Hoshi and Woozi will be felt, the group’s resilience and the unwavering support of CARATs worldwide promise an unforgettable experience.
As SEVENTEEN steps into this new era, one thing is certain: their story is far from over—it’s just entering another thrilling chapter.

Seventeen’s world tour announcement has me crying at my desk
Gonna start saving up NOW! But my heart breaks knowing we won’t get ot13 performances… Hoshi-ya, Woozi-ya, saranghaeyo! Fighting! #CaratForever
Also lowkey hoping they add Jakarta dates after the military hiatus ends?? Pledis-nim, please…we’ve been good CARATs!!
Ah yes, another ‘world tour’ that’s really just Asia + LA
. At least they’re starting in Korea this time instead of making fans fly to Japan first like some groups do. But seriously Pledis
, announce the full dates already, some of us have to plan vacation days!!
The way SEVENTEEN handles these transitions is so professional. It reminds me of how J-drama series recast characters between seasons while maintaining the core story. Their group dynamic must be incredibly strong to adapt like this
Meanwhile Mingyu and The8 will be carrying extra stage presence for this tour! Thai fans are ready to support
Though I wonder if they’ll adjust the choreo formations for 9 members? The synchronization might look even sharper with fewer people!
Oh honey, I just got chills reading this! My daughter’s CARAT friend will be devastated about the lineup changes
But what a beautiful way to celebrate before their service - like a graduation ceremony! Does anyone know if they’ll livestream the Seoul concerts for international fans?
@Sunti_Tawan Hey, all of them are all-rounders!! Have faith~ My boys always deliver
As a fan since Don’t Wanna Cry, this hits different. I’m proud of how far SEVENTEEN has come, but knowing Hoshi and Woozi won’t be on stage this time just makes it so bittersweet. Still, I’ll be cheering extra loud for the 9 who’ll carry the torch and waiting patiently for all 13 to stand together again someday.

True, but honestly, all of them shine in their own way. 9 or 13, SEVENTEEN always delivers
Not a CARAT, but I’ve always respected their stage presence. Whether it’s 9 or 13, they know how to light up the stage. Their songs are crazy addictive too
CAN’T WAIIITTTTT!!! Oppaaaa:heart_eyes:

i’m sad but it’s okaayy hihi
